We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fabrication Programmer (Engineering Technician) to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that drives innovation and efficiency in our manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining fabrication programs that are instrumental in the production of our high-quality products. Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement fabrication programs to optimize manufacturing processes and improve efficiency.
2. Collaborate with the engineering team to design and develop new products, ensuring manufacturability and quality.
3. Use lean six sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste and inefficiencies in the manufacturing process.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the fabrication process, including machine malfunctions and production delays.
5. Assist in the development of standard operating procedures and work instructions for the fabrication process.
6. Conduct regular audits of the fabrication process to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Train and mentor junior engineering technicians, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices in fabrication programming.
9. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in fabrication technology, incorporating these into our processes where applicable.
Qualifications:
1. Associates degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred, not required.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a fabrication programming role in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience with process engineering, including the design and implementation of manufacturing processes.
4. Strong knowledge of lean six sigma methodologies, with a certification being a plus.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
6. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in CAD/CAM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to a diverse range of stakeholders.
8. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
9. The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
10. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
