Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the packaging engineering team, ensuring projects meet quality, regulatory, and safety requirements.
- Oversee packaging development, working closely with headquarters and suppliers to execute projects effectively.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and vendors to develop packaging that aligns with product and brand objectives.
- Manage new product packaging from concept to commercialization, focusing on specifications, machinery, and process optimization.
- Design and implement sustainable packaging solutions that balance cost, performance, and environmental impact.
- Support co-packing operations and process improvements for quality and cost efficiency.
- Research and evaluate new packaging materials for safety, sustainability, and performance.
- Conduct packaging tests from R&D to full-scale production to ensure integrity and seamless transitions.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitive products, and regulatory updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Food Science, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in packaging development within the food manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience with packaging design, development, and testing.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, machinery, and production supply chain requirements.
- Experience working with packaging suppliers and leading cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance in packaging.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
