Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop and implement automated solutions, based on a set of standards and processes which establish consistency across the enterprise data, reduce risk, and promote efficiencies in support of the organization's goals and objectives.

2. Develop, maintain and improve our continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline using tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

3. Collaborate with software engineers to understand their needs and ensure our systems meet their evolving requirements.

4. Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes and ensure the scalability and reliability of our systems.

5. Perform root cause analysis for production errors and proactively anticipate potential issues.

6. Create clear and detailed documentation for our systems, processes, and workflows.

7. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps, and share knowledge with the team to continually improve our operations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in a software development setting.

3. Proven experience working with the Department of Transportation (DoT) or a similar regulatory body.

4. Proficient with Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, and other relevant DevOps tools.

5. Demonstrated experience in designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable, and reliable cloud-based software platforms.

6. Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how to optimize them for efficiency and effectiveness.

7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to overcome challenges with innovative solutions.

8. Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

9. Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

10. Strong commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
