Financial Planning Associate
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Financial Planning Associate. Candidates from all backgrounds and levels of experience who are eager to contribute and grow within our firm are welcome to apply. This role offers the opportunity to work across client services, financial planning, portfolio management, and marketing while partnering with our trusted custodian, Charles Schwab.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Charles Schwab to open and onboard new client accounts seamlessly.
- Handle client requests related to transfers, distributions, and account updates.
- Foster strong relationships by addressing client needs promptly and professionally.
- Assist clients with portal access, troubleshooting, and other technology-related inquiries.
- Document all client calls and meetings in the firm’s CRM system to ensure accurate records.
- Work closely with advisors to prepare for financial planning meetings by gathering data, updating Money Guide Pro software and creating meeting materials.
- Update tax planning software and assist with tax projections.
- Help plan and execute client appreciation events.
- Support the firm’s marketing initiatives and charitable sponsorships.
Requirements
- Excellent organizational and technology proficiency.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to following defined processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Exceptional client service and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
- An undergraduate degree is required.
- Will be required to pursue CFP certification.
- Background in income tax preparation. Enrolled Agent or CPA designation a plus.
- Preferably two years of experience in financial services, client service, or a related role.
