This hybrid role blends internal control oversight and daily operational reconciliation, offering wide exposure to the full trade lifecycle and the chance to work across multiple financial products and business lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cash, position, and trade reconciliations across clearing firms, custodians, and internal systems
  • Investigate and resolve breaks and exceptions with urgency and accuracy
  • Support post-execution trade activities across equities, fixed income, and other instruments
  • Liaise with clearing firms, counterparties, and internal stakeholders to ensure settlement accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
  • Maintain and enhance reconciliation tools, reports, and internal control dashboards
  • Participate in internal control initiatives including:
  • Daily review of management and exchange data
  • Trade settlement tracking and fee reconciliations
  • Performance reporting and internal issue escalation
  • Assist in month-end and year-end reporting processes
  • Contribute to firm-wide efforts related to regulatory change and industry best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in broker-dealer operations, financial operations, or reconciliation roles
  • Familiarity with clearing processes, trade flows, and financial instruments (equities, fixed income, etc.)
  • Strong working knowledge of systems like DTCC, Broadridge, or reconciliation tools (e.g., IntelliMatch, Blackline)
  • Excellent Excel and analytical skills
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset
