Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Engineering Associate to join our dynamic team at a well-established civil engineering firm in Austin, TX. The successful candidate will have a strong educational background, a proven track record with at least 3 years of experience, and a passion for contributing to innovative civil engineering projects.
Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with licensed engineers to plan, analyze, and design projects for municipalities across Central Texas, with a focus on markets in Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas.
Utilize technical expertise in hydrologic and hydraulic/2D computer modeling to contribute to the success of stormwater and watershed management projects, stream restoration initiatives, and roadway drainage design projects.
Develop design calculations, cost estimates, and construction drawings and specifications with attention to detail and adherence to project timelines.
Engage in technical work and project management to ensure the successful execution of assigned projects.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in civil engineering.
FE/EIT Certification is required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic/2D computer modeling.
Experience in preparing design calculations, cost estimates, and construction drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Local project experience with City of Austin, Travis County, Bexar County, City of San Antonio, SAWS, San Antonio River Authority and surrounding municipalities and/or agencies (highly preferred)
