Job Description:
Role: Infrastructure Project Manager
Locations: Irvine, CA (Onsite)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple IT infrastructure teams/functions including Active Directory Migration, O365 Messaging Exchange, Cloud, Storage & Backup, and IT Monitoring Operations
- Assess project requirements and recommend suitable IT components and systems
- Gather requirements, analyze, design, document, and formalize IT PPM processes, including training and implementation
- Facilitate discussions with key stakeholders to develop new business opportunities
- Recommend upgrades and systems improvements to enhance project outcomes
- Establish standards, policies, and procedures for on-prem, cloud, and 3rd-party hosted infrastructure
- Develop infrastructure roadmap and lead delivery using industry best practices
- Oversee full infrastructure/system life cycle including planning, implementation, and support
- Plan and maintain scalable, cost-effective, and flexible infrastructure aligned with business goals
- Ensure system availability to meet defined SLAs
- Develop and test disaster recovery programs in coordination with business continuity plans
- Manage vendor relationships for hosted environments
- Research and prototype new infrastructure/cloud technologies to enhance performance and reduce cost
- Meet with department managers and IT analysts to finalize infrastructure requirements
- Supervise IT infrastructure installation and ensure timely project completion
Skills & Qualifications:
- Expert in complex IT infrastructure environments
- Proven ability to build and manage critical paths and proactively identify risks/issues
- 5+ years of experience in technical project management for large-scale global IT projects
- Strong analytical, planning, and troubleshooting skills
- Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
- Up-to-date knowledge of latest IT infrastructure trends and tools
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Hands-on experience in infrastructure projects and environments
- Excellent organizational, time management, and baseline management skills
