Description:
The Project Manager will be a change agent in leading the successful execution of projects throughout the Fund. This role demands a highly organized and results-oriented individual with proven project ownership, accountability, and a strong desire to contribute to the Fund s mission. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of experience, expertise, and a continuous learning mindset. This role will report to the Director of the Fund s Project Management Office (PMO).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, goals, timelines, resource allocation, and communication strategies. Manage project execution, ensuring adherence to established methodologies and best practices.
Define clear deliverables, track progress, manage dependencies, and proactively address roadblocks.
Leads Scrum ceremonies: Organize sprint planning, run scrums, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives, driving the team to deliver high-quality work in each sprint and continuously learn, refine, and improve their processes.
Project Documentation: Maintain comprehensive, accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk registers, and meeting minutes. Ensure that technical and non-technical teams continuously build and refine the organizational knowledge base for current and future projects. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by capturing and sharing lessons learned from completed projects.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams (technical and business users), external vendors, and clients.
Contribute to the development of the PMO: Play a key role in helping the PMO Director to mature the PMO (Project Management Office), including partnering with the Director to develop and implement standardized project management methodologies and tools.
Continuous Learning: Proactively seek opportunities to expand knowledge of project management methodologies, retirement plan trends, and YMCA Retirement Fund technologies, policies, and procedures.
Budget Management: In close teamwork with the accounting department, maintain the IT budget, sharing responsibilities, and taking the lead to track IT expenditures, proactively identify trends to mitigate potential overruns, optimize and address invoicing, streamline payment processing and improving overall IT budget tracking and payment efficiency.
REQUIREMENTs:
Bachelor s degree required, preferably in related fields which may include Computer Science, Business, or Engineering.
3+ years of experience in project management, including demonstrated experience within the financial services industry, is required. Experience with retirement plans (defined contribution, defined benefit, 401(k), etc.) is highly valued.
Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies is required.
Proficiency in project management tools like Jira, MS Project, Asana, or similar is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
A demonstrated capacity to quickly gain a comprehensive understanding of projects is required.
PMP and/or comparable project management certifications are highly desirable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders across technical and non-technical functions.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Estimated Max Rate: $140,000.00
