This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a challenging and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing complex electrical systems, circuits, and components, with a primary focus on PCB design and layout. This position requires a deep understanding of aerospace systems and FAA requirements, as well as proficiency in Allegro and PADS. The ability to troubleshoot and solve problems is key, along with knowledge of DO-178C and DO-254 standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop complex electrical systems, circuits, and components with a focus on PCB design and layout.
2. Implement and adhere to FAA requirements and aerospace standards in all design and development processes.
3. Utilize Allegro and PADS software for PCB design, layout, and verification.
4. Troubleshoot and solve problems related to electrical systems, circuits, and components.
5. Ensure compliance with DO-178C and DO-254 standards in all design and development processes.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of electrical systems with other systems.
7. Conduct tests and evaluations of designs to ensure performance and reliability.
8. Prepare and present technical data and reports to stakeholders and team members.
9. Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements and industry trends in electrical engineering and design.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering, particularly in PCB design and layout.
3. Strong knowledge of aerospace systems and FAA requirements.
4. Proficiency in Allegro and PADS software for PCB design and layout.
5. Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
6. Familiarity with DO-178C and DO-254 standards.
7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
8. Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
