JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Junior Publicist will be responsible for trafficking samples, facilitating giftings, managing celebrity/VIP dressing and placements, and managing press coverage and reporting. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, extremely organized and proactive, with experience in-house or at an agency. Sample trafficking experience is a must.

The Junior Publicist will work within the PR and Digital departments and act as a conduit between KCD and its clients. The candidate will bring a professional, motivated and diverse skill set to complement the department and agency. The capability to prioritize and manage multiple projects will contribute to their overall success. As an ambassador for the agency and its clients, you will be expected to maintain a professional appearance across all internal and external touchpoints.

PR Responsibilities Include:

· Provide support to publicists and overarching media relations team for both day-to-day and long-term responsibilities on all account needs.

· Service a variety of fashion brands from emerging designers to industry leaders.

· Work collaboratively with senior team members to gain understanding of the client's image, ideals and goals.

· Provide consistent, professional and diligent client experience while managing client expectations.

· Manage press coverage and media relations for designer collections.

· Work with supervisors to develop/execute feature stories, product placement, editorial reporting and analysis.

· Work with team and clients to develop seasonal press materials, briefing documents, on-site support strategies, as well as coordinate events and press days.

· Assist team on creating and implementing brand press strategies including strategic press list creation (pitching/inviting/gifting).

· Develop and maintain press clippings for clients.

· Manage stylist and editor appointments for collection pulls.

· Manage celebrity/VIP dressing and placements.

· Lead sample trafficking for designer collections.

· Work with Guest Experience team on front-of-house services for domestic and international fashion shows and events, as needed.

· Cultivate relationships with fashion and media industry professionals to help grow KCD’s global network.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

· Detail oriented and ability to follow through.

· Effective time management skills and ability to multitask – this role requires managing many different areas for many different people, does not get stressed under pressure.

· Strong client management skills.

· Ability to work with clients effectively and understand their needs.

· Ability to work in a team environment and actively promote and engage both colleagues and clients in open communication.

· Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

· Knowledge of the Fashion and entertainment industries, designers, digital influencers and emerging style.

· Strong Microsoft office skills are a must, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Experience with Launchmetrics.

REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working either in house or with an agency in a public relations capacity.

· Minimum of 1-2 years of sample trafficking experience required, preferably with luxury brands.

· Preferred experience with fine and high jewelry brands.

· A degree in Journalism, Communications or English is preferred.

· Global travel as required.
