We are in search of a dynamic and experienced Director of Strategic Partnerships (must have an in-depth understanding of buying processes, specifically within the utilities sector) to drive key alliances and support the company’s mid- and long-term strategic growth initiatives. This role plays a pivotal part in scaling the business through channel partnerships, joint solution development, and technology integrations.

  • Define and execute the company’s partner strategy to support growth and value creation.
  • Identify, assess, and develop high-impact partnerships that enhance go-to-market efforts and product offerings.
  • Build and manage long-term, value-driven relationships with strategic partners.
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product, and executive teams to align partnership efforts with business objectives.
  • Evaluate opportunities in existing and emerging markets to support expansion strategies.
  • Structure and negotiate commercial agreements that deliver mutual benefit.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective partners using Salesforce, LinkedIn, and other outreach tools.
  • Implement partner enablement programs, including training materials and joint go-to-market plans.
  • Track, measure, and report on partnership performance and impact.
  • Collaborate with the sales organization to leverage partnerships for lead generation and deal acceleration.
  • Represent the company externally through webinars, events, and direct engagements with partners.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or channel sales in a B2B SaaS environment (energy or utilities sector experience strongly preferred).
  • Proven ability to drive complex partner relationships from concept through execution.
  • Strong strategic thinking, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead initiatives across functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
