We are seeking an experienced and innovative Technical Support Coordinator to drive training excellence, provide technical expertise, and promote safety leadership within the countertop and surfaces industry. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs, managing technical and safety training initiatives, offering expert technical advice, and leading research and communication efforts that support both workforce growth and industry excellence. Essential Functions

1. Curriculum Development

· Design, develop, plan and update curriculum and training materials for various technical roles in the countertop and surfaces industry, including fabrication, installation, and maintenance.

· Ensure the curriculum is aligned with industry standards, safety regulations, and company objectives.

· Incorporate hands-on learning, theoretical knowledge, and emerging trends into training modules.

· Coordinate and manage all onsite training as well as coordinate online training platforms.

2. Technical Support

· Develop and coordinate comprehensive technical training for association members.

· Act as a mentor, helping employees and members refine their skills and grow professionally.

· Develop and deliver engaging in-person and virtual training on fabrication techniques, installation procedures, tool use, and material handling

· Continuously assess and improve training effectiveness, incorporating feedback and industry advancements.

· Serve as a subject matter expert to provide technical advice and troubleshooting assistance to teams in the field.

· Offer guidance on fabrication challenges, material selection, and installation best practices.

· Support quality control initiatives by promoting industry best practices

3. Safety Support

· Champion a safety-first culture across all training and technical intiatives

· Take every reasonable precaution given the circumstances to ensure the protection of employees, and members.

· Coordinate safety training programs focused on the proper handling of tools, chemicals, heavy materials, and machinery

· Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.

· Develop resources, checklists, and assessments to reinforce safety best practices.

· Connect members to relevant safety resources, regulatory updates, and trusted industry partners

4. Program Management

· Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of all technical and safety training programs.

· Manage budgets, schedules, and resources for technical support initiatives, ensuring timely and cost-effect delivery.

· Coordinate with cross-functional teams including operations, HR, and external partners to align programs with organizational goals.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with industry experts and vendors to ensure members and partners receive timely guidance

· Aid in development and management of Apprenticeship program.

5. Research & Development

· Conduct ongoing research on new materials, tools, and techniques in the countertop and surfaces industry.

· Stay informed about technological advances, sustainability trends, and market demands, integrating relevant findings into the training curriculum.

· Collaborate with product development teams to ensure training materials reflect evolving product offerings and technologies

· Consult members on best practices and fabrication resources to provide the most update resources.

· Stay current on industry advancement to understand how trends reshape the industry and gain high-demand skills.

6. Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

· Facilitate clear and consistent communication between trainees, leadership, and stakeholders to assess needs, set goals, and evaluate program effectiveness

· Collaborate with peers, vendors and subject matter experts on training manuals, instructional videos, and digital content to enhance learning and retention.

· Representing the company, as a thought leader, at industry conferences, workshops, and seminars.

· Promote training program utilization to optimize member performance, productivity and growth

· Membership consulting achieving expectations for scope, budget, schedule and quality.

Education and Other Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in education, technical training, curriculum development, or a related field.

· Experience in the countertop and surfaces industry, with hands-on technical experience highly preferred but not required.

· Proven experience in curriculum design, technical support, and program management.

· In-depth knowledge of fabrication, installation, and maintenance of countertops (e.g., granite, quartz, marble, etc.) preferred but not required.

· Strong understanding of safety regulations, particularly OSHA standards.

· Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

· Ability to adapt training methods to diverse learning styles and environments.

· Strong research and problem-solving abilities.

· Stays current and adapts quickly to new technologies; troubleshoots technology problems; uses technology to increase productivity.

· Certification in safety training or technical instruction preferred (OSHA
