
Assistant Aquatics Manager NF-03
- Assistant the aquatics manager in the supervision of the aquatic programs and acts as head lifeguard. Assist with planning and administering a wide range of fairly typical, conventional and well-established basic aquatic activities.
- Assist manager in planning and coordinating details for all aquatic, fitness, instructional, and community programs. Assists aquatic manager with coordination with the MWR marketing department to publicize aquatic events.
- Assists the aquatic manager with the APF and NAF budget for the assigned facilities and programs. Review budget execution reports with the aquatic manager to ensure desired execution rate is met.
- Assist in developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures for the facilities. Maintain adequate staffing to ensure safe, functional, and enjoyable recreation activity. Represents the program department.
- Assists with maintaining, ensuring accountability and proper operating condition of equipment. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and reports any deficiencies as required. Ensures proper handling and storage of chemicals and other supplies
- Interviews and selects such staff and provides them with required orientation, training and management in order to meet all activity needs, provides transition training to outstanding volunteers to permit theme to serve in new and different areas.

Qualifications
1. Demonstrated experience in planning and executing aquatic programs. This experience may have been gained managing indoor or outdoor aquatic programs and facilities. Required experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level.
2. Current certification in Lifeguarding or Lifeguarding instructor, First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent.
3. The following certificates must be obtained within 12 months of appointment:
- Water Safety Instructor;
- Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO) or Pool Operator certification
- AED
- O2 Administration
Highly Preferred Criteria:
Any certifications must be uploaded at time of applying to be considered as a Highly preferred applicant.
1. Currently hold certification for Water Safety Instructor. AND
2. Currently hold Aquatics Facilities Operator (AFO) certification or Pool Operator certification.
