We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!

This role sits in the Commercial organization within Technology & Digital for Disney Experiences. The Systems Engineer will report to the Manager, Technology.

What You'll Do:


  • Design, analyze, evaluate, test, debug and implement applications supporting company business processes and operations
  • Plan, conduct, and direct the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems
  • Contribute to the development, testing, evaluation or design of system architecture used throughout the DX Technology ecosystem
  • Support the design, analysis, and implementation of Technology investments supporting Commercial initiatives
  • Assist in triaging and facilitating product defect resolution in all environments spanning multiple applications and service layers
  • Monitor booking systems through tools such as Splunk to ensure that errors are minimized and capabilities delivered are working as expected
  • Assisting with new product build architecture, capabilities, and delivery methods and the impacts to core applications cross-functionally
  • You will be expected to stay up to date with emerging technologies


Required Qualifications:


  • Minimum 3 years of related work experience
  • Technical experience in consumer and employee facing enterprise systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot applications and systems
  • Expertise in maintaining web, caching, and queuing technologies in large high traffic environments.
  • Expertise in architecting highly scalable and highly available systems
  • Comfortable working in an agile environment
  • Proactive demeanor towards continuous learning and skill development, and an interest in mastering emerging data engineering tools and methodologies


Required Education:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
