Position Overview:
American International University (AIU) is seeking a forward-thinking and collaborative Director of Curriculum and Teaching to lead efforts in instructional excellence and curriculum development across all colleges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in educational leadership or curriculum design and a passion for supporting faculty in creating high-impact learning experiences. This role is central to maintaining the academic integrity, relevance, and innovation of our programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee curriculum development, review, and alignment across academic departments.
- Partner with faculty to enhance course design, learning outcomes, and assessment strategies.
- Promote best practices in teaching, learning, and instructional innovation.
- Design and deliver professional development related to curriculum and teaching enhancement.
- Guide the approval and revision processes for academic programs and courses.
- Ensure consistency and quality in curriculum delivery across disciplines.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or a closely related field.
- Experience in curriculum development, teaching innovation, or instructional leadership.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Deep understanding of pedagogy, instructional design, and program evaluation.
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to lead cross-functional academic initiatives.
- International or multicultural academic experience is preferred.
