Description

We are looking for a Strategic Communications Coordinator to develop and implement effective communication strategies that engage the communities we serve. This role will involve creating compelling content, managing project websites, and designing visuals that support engineering projects. You will work closely with engineers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure that our messaging is clear, engaging, and accessible.

Requirements

  • Develop and execute strategic communication plans for engineering projects to ensure clear and consistent messaging across all platforms.
  • Design graphics, infographics, and outreach materials that effectively translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Manage and update digital platforms, including project websites, community engagement tools, and social media channels.
  • Lead public engagement efforts, such as presentations, open houses, and public meetings, in collaboration with engineers and project managers.
  • Create content for newsletters, social media, reports, and press releases to communicate project milestones and updates.
  • Ensure brand consistency and visual alignment across all communications and marketing materials.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of communication efforts through engagement metrics and feedback, adjusting strategies as necessary.
  • Stay updated on trends in strategic communications, visual design, and best practices in public engagement.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for designing marketing and communication materials.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate technical information into accessible content.
  • Experience managing and maintaining websites and digital platforms, including content management systems (CMS), WordPress, and social media channels.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively with engineers, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with public engagement strategies and community outreach is a plus.
