We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Help Desk Analyst I in the Energy/Natural Resources industry, based in Houston, Texas. As a Help Desk Analyst I, you will be responsible for providing remote support in a call center environment, handling customer tickets, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.

Responsibilities:
Provide remote support to customers, addressing and resolving inquiries efficiently
Maintain an organized tracking system for all customer tickets
Ensure comprehensive documentation of all customer interactions and troubleshooting steps
Contribute to the maintenance and updating of Confluence for documentation
Assist with training for new team members
Leverage knowledge of Microsoft and Active Directory to resolve customer issues
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computer hardware
Collaborate with the overnight team in India for seamless 24x7x365 support
Strive for continuous skill growth, engaging with a wide range of tasks.

Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft software suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, including user and group management.
Solid understanding of computer hardware, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues.
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in a help desk or technical support role within the energy/natural resources industry.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical users.
Ability to work well in a team and independently, demonstrating initiative in identifying and resolving issues.
Willingness to stay updated with the latest technological advancements and industry trends.
Flexibility to work in shifts or on-call if needed.
Certifications in ITIL, CompTIA A+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals would be advantageous.
