Evolve Workforce Solutions is assisting a respected Am Law 200 law firm in Miami, FL, in hiring an experienced Legal Assistant to support their Corporate and Tax practice groups. This is a full-time, in-office opportunity offering the chance to contribute to a dynamic legal team while delivering high-level administrative support to attorneys and clients.

The ideal candidate is organized, client-focused, and skilled in handling complex administrative tasks in a fast-paced legal environment. Prior experience supporting attorneys in corporate, tax, or transactional law is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, edit, and proofread legal correspondence and documents using firm-approved templates and formatting standards
  • Transcribe dictation, handwritten notes, and emails into polished work product
  • Maintain and coordinate attorney calendars, meetings, and deadlines
  • Enter and edit timekeeper billing entries using the firm’s internal software
  • Assist with monthly billing cycles, including reviewing prebills and submitting electronic invoices
  • Process attorney expense reports and manage vendor payments
  • Open new client matters, initiate conflict checks, and maintain client files (both paper and electronic)
  • Organize incoming legal documents, including emails and attachments
  • Handle phone calls, take accurate messages, and coordinate conference calls and video meetings
  • Provide overflow support as needed and actively contribute to team efforts
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client and firm-related matters

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of legal assistant or administrative experience; law firm background required
  • Experience with corporate law, transactional matters, or tax law strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel); knowledge of billing software is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with electronic billing platforms and legal document formatting
  • Typing speed of at least 60 wpm with strong grammar, punctuation, and spelling
  • High attention to detail, excellent time management, and organizational skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities and last-minute requests
  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed

Work Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Flexibility for overtime based on workload or client needs
