We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager to join our dynamic team. Job Details
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position and an excellent opportunity for an individual who is ready to take their career to the next level. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing complex engineering projects, overseeing HVAC system design, and ensuring that all mechanical aspects of our projects are executed with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical engineering, with a special focus on heating, cooling, and HVAC systems.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our Clients to understand their needs, constraints, and criteria for success.
- Develop MEP Design Solutions, weighing the benefits and risks of various options, and helping the client choose a path forward.
- Lead the Project Team in developing design documents (conceptual design, equipment selection, construction drawings, specifications, energy modeling, etc...).
- Coordinate all design disciplines to ensure a comprehensive, code-compliant, and constructable design.
- Manage the client's expectations throughout the design process.
- Communicate with colleagues, external consultants, and vendors to meet objectives and schedules.
- Serve as the Owner's Representative during construction (RFI response, Submittal review, Site inspections, etc...).
- Mentoring less experienced engineers and designers.
Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, Architecture or a related field is required. Master's Degree is a plus.
- PE License in Texas is required or the ability to get your PE with your NCEES.
- A minimum of 7+ years of experience in an MEP Mechanical Design role.
- Proven experience with MEP Systems, Architecture and Design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/CAD. Revit Software is a plus.
- Excellent Project Management skills.
