POS engineer

We are seeking a Store Hardware (POS) Engineer to support critical testing, validation, and deployment efforts for in-store technology and equipment. This role will play a key part in the Point of Sale (POS) system rollout and the validation of store-level devices in a lab setting, ensuring high-quality performance and seamless integration across store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct hardware validation and lab testing for a range of store equipment.

• Support and manage the POS rollout and related store hardware initiatives.

• Evaluate and troubleshoot devices including:

  • Handheld scanners and mobile devices

  • Printers and peripherals

  • Surveillance cameras

  • Other store tech infrastructure

• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and deployment teams to ensure readiness for production environments.

• Provide documentation and feedback on hardware functionality, performance issues, and potential improvements.

• Participate in hardware lifecycle planning, including upgrades and replacements.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in hardware testing and validation within a retail or enterprise environment.

• Hands-on expertise with POS systems and retail store technology.

• Familiarity with lab-based testing setups and structured QA processes.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for documentation and team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience supporting large-scale retail environments or store technology rollouts.

• Understanding of store operations, equipment logistics, and deployment challenges.

• Experience with remote device management and inventory tracking tools.
