Compensation: $69,514 – $100,796

Reports To: People Operations Manager

Our client, a mission-driven health plan provider, is seeking a People Operations Specialist to support and strengthen the day-to-day functions of their HR team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth employee onboarding, benefit administration, compliance, and HR process management. The ideal candidate brings a mix of professionalism, compassion, and operational precision to the table—playing a key role in supporting both employees and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage recruitment support, onboarding logistics, and new hire orientations.
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment and administration, including billing reconciliation and issue resolution.
  • Process personnel actions and maintain up-to-date records in HRIS systems.
  • Track and process LOA and PTO, reconcile payroll deductions, and run post-payroll reports.
  • Ensure compliance through periodic audits of HR functions (e.g., payroll, benefits).
  • Draft and manage employee correspondence and employment verifications.
  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, processes, and support.
  • Assist in the implementation of initiatives that promote engagement and support organizational culture.

Ideal Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–4 years of progressive experience in human resources or people operations.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, compliance requirements, and administrative best practices.
