Learning Management System (Blackboard & Jenzabar experience)
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Learning Systems Administrator to support and manage our academic technology platforms. This is an onsite role based in either New York City or Carlsbad, San Diego.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Jenzabar, and Blackboard, and will play a key role in the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of these platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and support the organization s LMS platforms including Blackboard.
Work closely with academic and IT teams to ensure seamless system integration with Jenzabar.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement timely solutions.
Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students using the LMS.
Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and course shell creation.
Assist in the development and deployment of training materials and documentation.
Stay updated on new features, releases, and best practices for LMS and related systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on educational technology initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Education Technology, or related field.
Proven experience administering LMS platforms, particularly Blackboard.
Solid working knowledge of Jenzabar.
Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced academic environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in higher education IT environments.
Familiarity with instructional design principles.
Prior involvement in LMS migrations or system upgrades.
