Security Officer
GDIT is the Prime contractor for the Flight School Training Support Services (FSTSS) program, which supports the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence (AVCOE). Located in Daleville, Alabama, GDIT owns and operates the facilities that provide flight simulator training.
GDIT has an immediate opening for a Security Officer supporting the Flight School Program. As a Security Officer Administers security programs and other related security activities for an office or group to ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies and procedures.

How a Security Officer Will Make An Impact
- Assists in the development and implementation of appropriate security programs, policies, or processes
- Provides guidance and instructions to all employees to ensure any event, circumstance, or act that could be considered a breach of security is reported immediately
- Participates in the development and implementation of security procedures in coordination with government agencies and company management
- Develops and conducts security-related training programs
- Maintains the organization's physical safety and security systems, including surveillance systems, automated security systems, employee ID systems, or fire alarm/sprinkler systems
- Conducts security briefings
- Investigates security violations and recommends corrective actions
- Maintains liaison with outside agencies
- Assists employees in acquiring personal security clearance when required
- Enters security information into automated system and develops related reports as needed
- Participates in audits or inspections
- Administers and coordinates facility security activities
- Interactions with the team to achieve the mission
- Work with the team to resolve challenges
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
- Required Experience: 2 years of related experience.
- Required Skills and Abilities:
- Experience as security guard or officer
- Knowledge of guidelines for security area and public safety
- Familiarity with badging and report writing
- Surveillance and observation skills

- Maintain accurate and detailed reporting
- Security Clearance Level: Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.
