Metro Global Ventures is a boutique investment firm dedicated to nurturing the growth of businesses in our diverse portfolio across various industries. We take a hands-on approach to the growth and development of our portfolio companies, providing them with the resources, support, and collaboration needed to thrive in their industries.

The role of Strategic Operations Associate will function with our Operations organization, which is made up of a diverse group of entrepreneurial-minded innovators whose main responsibilities focus on providing continuous operational support to our portfolio companies. The Strategic Operations Associate will play a key role in supporting operational efficiency by coordinating multiple projects, assisting in process improvements, and ensuring seamless collaboration across departments.

We have openings on a few teams within the Operations organization, some working specifically within Metro Global Ventures and some working specifically within our portfolio companies. This is a project-driven role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities can range from managing complex projects to engaging in more routine tasks. The needs of our portfolio companies will dictate projects, initiatives, and daily tasks. This position is ideal for a highly organized individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates must be located in the Greater Philadelphia area and be able work on a hybrid schedule from our Bala Cynwyd, PA office (2-3 times per week).

Responsibilities Can Include:

• Leading or supporting projects that enhance operational capabilities and promote growth.
• Developing and executing strategies that drive efficiency, scalability, and profitability across portfolio companies.
• Analyzing business performance metrics and providing insights to support data-driven decision-making.
• Troubleshooting operational issues and proposing practical solutions.
• Identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring business continuity and resilience.
• Researching and evaluating market trends and competitive landscapes.
• Working with executive teams to develop and execute scalable business strategies to accelerate revenue growth and market expansion.
• Coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure project alignment.
• Participating in routine tasks such as lead generation, sales pitches, data analysis, client outreach, reporting, test-marketing, vendor coordination, etc.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in any field of study.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across various stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn.

Preferred:

• Completion of an MBA program.
• 1-2 years of internship or professional work experience focused on project management, business development, corporate development, or entrepreneurial endeavors.
