Project Officer
Overview:
Our client, a multidisciplinary AECM firm with a vast east coast presence is looking to hire a Project Officer to work on a public agency project of theirs. This would be a full-time, W-2 position working for their firm based in their Manhattan office. This role will also require travel to worksites as needed.
The Project Officer will support the management and coordination of construction projects within the Construction Management and Construction Inspection division. This role involves assisting in the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of projects to ensure they meet quality standards, timelines, and budgetary requirements.
Salary Range: $110 - $120k
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of project plans.
- Coordinate project activities and ensure all project phases are documented appropriately.
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and clients.
- Assist in the management of project budgets and track expenditures.
- Support the preparation of project proposals, bids, and contracts.
- Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and records.
- Provide administrative support to project managers and senior staff.
Duties will include:
- Schedule and coordinate project meetings, site visits, and inspections.
- Track project timelines and milestones to ensure timely completion.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Communicate project updates and changes to stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and organized project files and records.
- Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations on project sites.
- ???????Support the procurement of project materials and services.
- Assist in the resolution of project-related issues and conflicts.
- Provide support in project closeout activities and final inspections.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. (Required)
- Minimum of [5] years of experience in construction project coordination or management. (Required)
- Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately document project activities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
