Job Title: Payroll and HRIS Manager
Location: REMOTE
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll & HRIS Manager to manage payroll operations for two entities that have multiple bi-weekly payrolls for 600+ employees with multi state jurisdictions, ensuring accurate and timely processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll and HRIS administration, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll:
- Oversee and audit the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness on bi-weekly payrolls for both salaried and hourly employees.
- Assist with various payroll and benefit tax-related audits and reconciliation.
- Collaborate with the team to reconcile GL payroll tax accounts.
- Correspond with tax agencies and respond as needed.
- Set up, investigate, and respond to tax jurisdiction notifications.
- Review and validate manual adjustments or corrections.
- Develop, generate, and reconcile payroll reports to identify discrepancies.
- Calculate and process employee bonuses and commissions based on company policies and regulations.
- Open periods and process historical corrections.
- Prepare and submit required reports to government agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Provide strategic insight for payroll-related initiatives and projects.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Place as last item in this section
- Coordinate year-end payroll processes, including W-2 reconciliations, amendments, issue W-2c's.
- Manage payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
HRIS:
- Oversee the daily operation of the HRIS, ensuring data accuracy and system functionality.
- Monitor and resolve HRIS ticketing system tickets promptly, within a 24-hour period
- Manage workflow processes from the HRIS system, including new hires, rehires, terminations, promotions, and compensation changes.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization through HRIS tools
- Develop and generate HRIS reports to support HR and management decision making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably handling multiple entities and states.
- Advanced knowledge of (iSolve) payroll software required
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table expertise).
- Strong knowledge of payroll compliance
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer Prior experience working in a Global environment
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification
- Immigration knowledge is a plus
