responsibilities:
- Serve as a key technical resource, delivering expert-level support for local clients' network and server environments.
- Proactively manage and maintain a wide array of infrastructure technologies, including firewalls, security appliances, switches, routers, wireless solutions, NAC, ZTNA/VPN, and storage area networks.
- Perform day-to-day administration of network and server systems, ensuring operational efficiency and reliability.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, employing advanced diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities to resolution.
- Collaborate closely with clients on-site, building strong relationships and understanding their unique business needs.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of secure and scalable network architectures.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network and project documentation.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.

qualifications:
- A minimum of 5-7+ years of progressive experience in high-level network and/or server design, implementation, and support.
- Demonstrated expertise in several of the following technologies:
- Firewall and Security Appliances (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, SonicWall)
- Switches and Routers (e.g., HPE/Aruba, Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper)
- Wireless Access Points and Controllers (e.g., HPE/Aruba, Cisco, Fortinet, Ubiquiti)
- NAC Solutions (e.g., HPE/Aruba, Fortinet, Cisco)
- ZTNA and VPN Technologies (including SSL-VPN, IPSec)
- Storage Area Networks (iSCSI SAN architecture)
- Virtualization Technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory administration
- Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including LAN/WAN concepts, routing, switching, ACLs, and VLANs.
- Solid grasp of IPv4 and subnetting principles.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to details.
