
Java Enterprise Architect
Job Title: Java Enterprise Architect Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite role)
Enterprise Architect to lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge cloud solutions utilizing Java microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with one or more major cloud providers and an understanding of cloud-native principles.
1. 20+ years of experience in modern application architecture, with at least 8+ years focused on cloud solutions
2. Expert-level knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS)
3. Extensive experience designing and implementing Java microservices-based architectures
4. Design, deploy, and manage Kafka clusters in on-premise and/or cloud environments.
5. Strong knowledge of database technologies, both relational and NoSQL
6. Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
7. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
8. Familiarity with serverless computing and event-driven architectures
9. Knowledge of API design and management
10. Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements
11. Experience with distributed systems and their associated challenges
12. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to architect solutions for complex business requirements
13. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
14. Relevant certifications (AWS Solutions Architect) are a plus
15. Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools for microservices environments
16. Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
Role/Responsibilities
1. Design and architect scalable, resilient, and high-performance solutions using microservices
2. Good knowledge on Event driven Architecture and Database
3. Lead the development of cloud migration strategies and modernization roadmaps
4. Provide expert guidance on container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
5. Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance our cloud infrastructure
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives
7. Mentor junior architects and engineers on cloud best practices
8. Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical leadership throughout the development lifecycle
