Job Description: Sr. Datacenter Engineer
We are looking for an exceptionally skilled and meticulous Senior Data Center Engineer to oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of our data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess practical experience with Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure, VMware virtualization platforms, and enterprise storage systems (such as Pure Storage and EMC) along with computing resources. This role will focus on engineering solutions that guarantee the performance, reliability, and scalability of our essential infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, manage, and provide support for Nutanix HCI environments, ensuring peak performance and maximum uptime.
- Design, deploy, manage, and support Nutanix HCI environments and ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Desing, Deploy, manage and maintain VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, and related components.
- Administer enterprise storage systems including Pure Storage, Dell/EMC, and other SAN/NAS solutions.
- Monitor compute infrastructure for performance, availability, and capacity planning.
- Implement data center best practices including hardware lifecycle management, documentation, and change control.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to virtualization, storage, and compute infrastructure.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Over 5 years of experience in data center engineering or related infrastructure roles.
- Substantial hands-on expertise with Nutanix platforms (AOS, Prism, AHV, or VMware integration).
- Skilled in managing VMware infrastructure (including vSphere, vMotion, DRS, HA).
- Comprehensive understanding of enterprise storage solutions (such as Pure Storage, EMC, NetApp, etc.).
- Experience with server hardware, computing platforms (Cisco UCS, Dell, HPE), and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with networking principles and their implications for data center operations.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools (like PowerCLI, Python, or Ansible) is advantageous.
- Cisco Certified
