Title: Production Manager
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 12 Months(extendable)
Profile:
A senior level candidate that has experience in printing production and digital asset management along with managing the two processes from end to end. Must be degreed with exceptional communication skills and come equipped with process experience and best practices. The role is consolidated from a variety of people who "do part of the work" so will require stellar collaboration and process build out. The role "may" evolve to be longer term, etc. but no promises at this point.
Responsibilities
Production Management (60%)
- Oversee the end-to-end production process from manuscript to final print production for AP Access team materials, including Instructional Services team materials, Pre-AP Course Framework, Teacher and Student Resources, and Outreach team educator materials.
- Develop and manage production schedules
- Ensure quality control and consistency across all published materials
- Resolve any production issues that arise during the process
- Manage the permissions schedule and process for the development of instructional material.
- Manage digital production of all assets to the AP Professional Learning Platform.
Inventory Management (30%)
- Manage product inventory to ensure most current versions and description of resources are available in the College Board store and when needed for AP Professional Learning.
- Coordinate with the Catalog Request team to request new item numbers/product descriptions or update current product descriptions as needed.
- Manage the ordering process for materials for AP Summer Institutes, including product descriptions.
- Coordinate with APSI team and train endorsed sites on the ordering process annually
- Maintain most current versions of materials to Professional Learning/Consultant Management and International teams
- Manage access of student samples from AP Reading team
Vendor Management (10%)
- Establish strong print vendor relationships to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
- Responsible for getting electronic files and updates to vendor; for shipping issues or CS cases or escalations, should loop in store support
- Document processes and implement automation where possible.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of print and digital production experience, with a proven track record of leading large-scale content delivery initiatives in an educational context.
- Demonstrated ability managing end-to-end project deliverables.
- Demonstrated capacity for digital asset development
- Advanced proficiency in print production tool, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and planning skills, including high attention to detail and the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exceptional interpersonal and team collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently to meet internal deadlines.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Bachelor s degree in a relevant field
