Piper Companies is currently seeking an Equipment Management Chemist to work for an established biologics lab located in the Lansdale, Pennsylvania area.

Responsibilities of the Chemist:
  • Basic maintenance of laboratories and equipment, performs all calibration and troubleshooting
  • Preparation and communication of scientific and technical presentations, updates and reports to different groups
  • Technical advisor for LabX implementation project; has SME level familiarity with LabX
  • Support for business development and engineering teams as needed


Qualifications of the Chemist:
  • 5+ years' experience in laboratory environment
  • Experience with and knowledge of analytical and preparative chromatography; experience with balances, pH meters, conductivity testing
  • Experience using HPLC/UHPLC instruments and related software such as Empower
  • Understanding of common R&D and manufacturing practices and regulations regarding PPEs, handling solvents and chemicals
  • Confident presentation skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time while undertaking benchwork

Compensation for the Analytical Chemist:
  • Salary commensurate with experience; $38-45/hr
  • Full Benefits--PTO included
