Product Engineering is a unified team responsible for the engineering of Disney Entertainment & ESPN digital and streaming products and platforms. This includes product engineering, media engineering, quality assurance, engineering behind personalization, commerce, lifecycle, and identity.

Responsibilities


  • Develop code that powers our APIs and services, written in TypeScript and NodeJS
  • Ensure quality by writing and carrying out unit, integration, and load tests
  • Actively participate in code and design reviews


Basic Qualifications


  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in server-side development
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent debugging skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to find compromises that move the team forward


The hiring range for this position in Los Angelos, CA is $114,900 - $154,100, and for Seattle, WA is $120,300 - $161,300 and for New York City is $120,300 - $161,300, and for San Francisco, CA is $125,800 - $168,700. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
