Workday Consultant
Job Summary:
As a Workday Consultant, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions. You will work closely with clients to understand their business needs, translate requirements into scalable Workday configurations, and deliver solutions that streamline HR and operational processes. This role involves hands-on implementation, client collaboration, ongoing support, and potential leadership responsibilities at the manager level.
Implementation & Configuration:
Implement and configure Workday HCM modules including Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent Management, and Payroll. Experience with Workforce Management is a plus.Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering:
Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze business needs, translating them into functional and technical specifications for Workday solutions.Solution Design & Development:
Design, build, and maintain scalable Workday configurations, custom reports, calculated fields, integrations, and business processes tailored to client requirements.Testing & Quality Assurance:
Conduct unit, integration, and user acceptance testing to validate system functionality. Participate in cutover planning and execution.Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide post-implementation support including issue resolution, performance tuning, and system optimizations. Serve as a point of contact for technical and functional inquiries.Training & Documentation:
Create user documentation and deliver end-user training to ensure clients are equipped to use and manage their Workday environment effectively.Collaboration & Communication:
Partner with internal teams, project managers, and client stakeholders to ensure alignment, mitigate risks, and drive successful project delivery.Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to enhance existing Workday solutions and recommend best practices to maximize system value.Sales & Pre-Sales Support:
Assist the sales team by developing project scopes, timelines, and proposal content. Leverage domain knowledge to support demos and client pitches.Team Leadership:
If applicable, mentor and manage a team of Workday consultants, providing guidance, performance feedback, and career development support.
3+ years of hands-on experience implementing and configuring Workday HCM solutions
Strong knowledge of Workday modules, including Core HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Talent Management, and Benefits
Experience with Payroll and/or Workforce Management is a plus
Solid understanding of HR business processes and best practices
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple client engagements and deliverables simultaneously
Workday certification(s) preferred
