Director of Sales And Business Development

The Opportunity:
As the Director of Sales, you will play a critical role in driving new revenue and expanding market share. This position demands a "hunter" mentality to acquire new clients, along with a "farmer" approach to nurture and grow existing relationships, increasing wallet share. Through your mechanical/engineering aptitude and understanding of plant machinery you will build long-term trust and credibility with clients. Your ability to understand the nuances of custom solutions will be key as you engage clients to provide personalized, high-quality offerings.
What You Will Need to Be Successful:
- Experience selling to manufacturing sites, plants and/or mills, and in some cases corporate purchasing.
- Strong sales expertise in driving volume growth with existing customers as well as new client acquisitions. Appropriate mix of hunter/farmer mindset, but predominantly hunter.
- Ability to establish credibility with clients via your technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment machinery, material flow and optimization with parts and services.
- Purchasing understanding, and ability to influence various customer “points of sale,” e.g. operation leaders, maintenance planners, mill managers, and corporate purchasing.
- Collaborative team player, ability to work with internal partners to drive intel, leads etc.
