Description:
One of our clients is seeking a proactive and experienced IT Team Lead to join their Skilled Nursing Facility in the heart of Atlanta. This is a 100% onsite role, leading day-to-day infrastructure operations and managing two support team members. If you're a hands-on IT leader passionate about system stability and end-user support, we want to hear from you.
The IT Team Lead will oversee the daily operations of the infrastructure and server support team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Windows servers, VMware, and Office 365 environments, along with a solid understanding of networking and Unified Access Point (UAP) switches.
Around 550 end users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of IT support and infrastructure specialists.
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot physical and virtual server environments (Windows Server, VMware).
- Oversee the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of Office 365 services.
- Ensure optimal operation of network systems including firewalls, routers, and Unified Access Point switches.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including standard operating procedures and technical specifications.
- Coordinate and execute infrastructure upgrades, patches, and backups.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and provide solutions.
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to ensure reliability and uptime.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and server support.
- 2+ years in a leadership or team lead role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
- Hands-on experience with VMware.
- Proficiency with Office 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and Unified Access Point switches.
- Familiarity with backup solutions, monitoring tools, and cybersecurity practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications a plus.
