
Medical Support Assistant (Multiple Specialties)
- Answering phone calls, greeting patients, and directing individuals to appropriate departments
- Address patient inquiries to resolve concerns and/ or urgent matters.
- Knowledge of the appointment system, Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS), and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Assist patients with scheduling appointments.
- Entering patient data into an electronic health records.
- Initiate patient health records and admission forms.
- Review documents for accuracy, explain processes and policies to patients.
- Ability to coordinate patient care based on medical provider referral for purchased referred care services.
- Assist with completion of admissions, transfers, and discharges of patients.
- Generate a variety of third party and accounts receivable reports, generate aged reports, and review delinquent patient account records.
- Prepare claims for reimbursement of health services.
- Generating third party alternate resources claims; tracking insurance claims and payments in all levels of examination.
- Performing independent analysis and problem solving.
