System One is looking for a experienced Data Quality Analyst to join with a partner in the Columbus, OH area. This is a fully remote opportunity in Columbus, Ohio.

Successful candidates must be able to provide proof of ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. This position is not open to corp-to-corp, subcontractor or independent consulting arrangements.

Overview
The position plays a focal role managing the enterprise data quality.?In this role, you will maintain data quality standards by proactively measuring data quality metrics and work cross-functionally to improve the quality of data across multiple sources and platforms while also researching. Successful candidate should have a passion for data, is detail oriented, understands technical systems, and can effectively communicate with team members and partner with stakeholders to understand and improve business processes.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform data validation, support report validation and data research activities. Work with data engineers in unit testing views and stored procedures.
  • Work with data engineers to implement and automate data quality related business requirements
  • Maintain overall data quality and integrity across the organization. Identify and monitor ongoing quality improvement issues and opportunities.
  • Develop, document, and maintain data quality goals and standards.
  • Lead in the identification and resolution of data quality problems and defects. Initiate investigation processes, identify and reproduce bugs or defects, assess business impact and drive issues and improvements to resolution.
  • Identify areas for data quality improvement and collaborate with data stewards, data custodians and business partners to define data quality standards for error detection.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in manual testing with a strong emphasis on SQL competency, writing and executing SQL queries for data validation.
  • Troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in data integrity checks
  • Experience working with at least one or more domains: SAP ECC, Finance, Salesforce, SuccessFactors, Operations
  • Experience with data governance, meta data management and master data management.
  • Experience with any data quality tool
Experience, Education and Skills
  • 8+ years of working experience in IT
  • 5+ years of data quality experience (data stewardship and governance is a plus)
  • 5+ years of hands-on SQL experience
  • Experience with data warehousing
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI)
  • Experience with data migration & data mapping
  • Working knowledge of data modeling - data-vault, star schema, ER-Diagrams
  • Advanced MS Office Suite skills, especially Excel
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are required
  • Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences such as IT, sales, finance, operations.
  • Experience with agile methodologies: SCRUM
  • Experience with Informatica Enterprise Data Catalogue (EDC) highly desirable
  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, information management, or similar
