Job Description:

Apex Systems is seeking to fill an open project contract position of HR Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA). The expected duration is a minimum of twelve (12) months.

The project is the implementation of an organizations Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP), which includes a replacement of the following legacy systems to be combined into a single centralized solution: Human Resources, Fiscal, Procurement, Grants, Warehouse and Inventory. The focus of this position will be Human Resources.

In this position, the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technological solutions.

This work includes analyzing complex business processes, requirements elicitation and documentation, internal review of other BSA documentation, to optimize HR processes and systems within an ERP environment, analyze HR data, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement solutions, and the creation and/or review of comprehensive meeting minutes during project related meetings.

The candidate will work closely with the project team as it relates to the implementation and establishment of the ERP solution. This role often involves data analysis, reporting, process optimization, and HR system administration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Help determine operational objectives by studying multiple departmental business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements.

Work with stakeholders to record current business processes and procedures. Will provide guidance and support on developing new business processes for each functional area covered by the ERP.

Work with project team, vendors, and stakeholders to identify, record, and disseminate all aspects of change management.

Analyze current HR processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to streamline workflows.

Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate into proper systems requirements specifications.

HR data analysis, reporting, process optimization, and HR system administration.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for system enhancements and customizations and participate in the implementation process.

Improve operational efficiency.

Bridge communication between Human Resources and Information Technology teams and maintain ongoing communication with management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of five (5) years of experience in system analysis and project implementation. Candidate must be detail oriented.

Experience in Human Resources or related areas.

Strong and well-developed analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.

Proven track record of successfully analyzing and documenting complex HR business processes and identifying areas for improvement.

Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements and use cases.

Experience in creating comprehensive and clear documentation.

Proficiency in requirements gathering and documentation.

Proficiency in business modeling and analysis tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucid Chart, or similar tools.

Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to elicit requirements.

Experience in translating business requirements into detailed system specifications.

Ability to create process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, and other relevant documentation.

Ability to plan, schedule and conduct meetings, as well as draft agendas and meeting minutes.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work collaboratively with project managers and development teams.

Familiarity with collaboration tools and project management software.

Ability to interact and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of Information Technology and Human Resources staff.

Experience in presenting analysis findings and recommendations to both technical and nontechnical audiences.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with a focus on project implementation.

Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).

Strong background in Human Resources.

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) is highly desirable.

Understanding of HR processes and how they interact with ERP systems.

Database Querying (SQL, Oracle and/or Crystal).

Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).

Understanding of quality assurance processes and methodologies.

Familiarity with project management concepts and practices.

Task entry and tracking via Jira.
