Banner Functional Analyst

Our client is seeking a Banner Functional Analyst to support and optimize their Ellucian Banner HR and Finance modules. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues related to these modules, focusing on user-facing functionality rather than development or system architecture.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Ellucian Banner s front-end, the ability to troubleshoot issues, and experience working with SQL for reporting and data analysis. Experience with Ellucian Workflow is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical resource for Banner HR and Finance module users, providing functional support and troubleshooting.
  
  
• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize workflows and improve system efficiency.
  
  
• Assist with SQL queries for data management, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  
  
• Work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and IT teams to ensure seamless system operations.
  
  
• Document system processes and create user-friendly guides to support internal teams.
  
  
• Support system updates and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor s degree required (or additional experience in lieu of degree).
  
  
• 3+ years of experience with Ellucian Banner systems, specifically in HR and Finance modules.
  
  
• Strong front-end Banner expertise, with knowledge of user-facing functions and configurations.
  
  
• Basic back-end understanding (not responsible for development or application building).
  
  
• SQL experience required for data extraction and reporting.
  
  
• Experience with Ellucian Workflow is a plus.
  
  
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
