Ecommerce & Production Assistant – The Mayfair Group

Location: Remote

Reports To: Ecommerce & Production Manager

The Mayfair Group is looking for an Ecommerce & Production Assistant to optimize the online retail experience, drive sales, manage costs efficiently, communicate effectively with internal and external team members, and enhance customer satisfaction. This is a dynamic role that touches nearly every functional area of a fast-growing, purpose-driven retail company and requires someone who can seamlessly integrate a meticulous eye for detail and big picture thinking across website merchandising, timeline management, vendor communication, and much more.

Key Responsibilities

WEBSITE/E-COMMERCE

  • Help drive sales performance of the e-commerce platform alongside Ecommerce & Production Manager by quickly adjusting to customer needs on the site, timely reactions to internal pivots, and making sure product is always being showcased on the site with the Mayfair voice top of mind.
  • Perform daily review of the site to make sure all best performing products & assets are live & make necessary adjustments when requested on product/site visuals
  • Work with Ecommerce & Production Manager to create & execute promotional and launch campaigns
  • Effectively execute new products launches, site theme adjusting, collection remerchandising, imagery adjustments based on sales, & pricing editing based on performance
  • Work with Ecommerce & Production Manager to address website bugs
  • Execute Promotional Sale roll-outs on website in tandem with Ecommerce Manager
  • Work with developer(s) to execute web fixes for a better customer experience
  • Work with Wholesale & Ecommerce Managers on inventory issues to help make sure both channels are able to utilize the inventory needed
  • Work with the Customer Experience Associate to help work through customer order adjustment needs in Shopify, shipping adjustments for address/issues with fulfillment center, & communicating website issues to CX associate to be aware of with customers
  • Work with CX team during peak promotional time periods to help alleviate ticket build up
  • Other website and Ecommerce-related duties as they arise

PRODUCTION

  • Help co-manage & edit cross-functional timeline deadlines
  • Provide clear communication on all things production including timelines, updates, samples, and necessary changes to cross-functional teams consistently
  • Execute creation for in-season Purchase Orders documents for evergreen and fashion newness
  • Manage & complete monthly & quarterly buying documents for Ecommerce, Wholesale, Marketing, and Photoshoot based on most recent product reviews
  • Create & update production timelines for DTC, collaborations, wholesale, private label for both overseas and domestic production consistently throughout the year
  • Work alongside Design team to ensure any production- related questions are resolved in a timely manner
  • Attend design sample meetings & provide thorough recaps for team members after on updates/actions needed
  • Provide factory with necessary Techpack/styles information & confirm target costs with Ecommerce & Production Manager prior to approving
  • Review and confirm all PO packing lists against orders to align on necessary shipment steps at product completion
  • Review and confirm all costs/units are accurate on final invoicing from production team(s) & work with Ecommerce & Production Manager on any callouts or approval
  • Execute receiving information & communication for arrival of product shipments with fulfillment center
  • Work with Internal/External team to communicate timing updates on Photoshoot, PR (When needed), & Bulk arrival dates to avoid any issues for DTC or Wholesale needs
  • Maintain and hit all ecommerce and production deadlines without delays and communicate any issues with tangible actions
  • Communicate with Wholesale across all product & timing updates to make sure we are keeping a consistent through line on products for all Mayfair channels
  • Attend All Production Monthly/Quarterly Meetings to align with external teams on priorities for the following month(s)
  • Other Production-related duties as they arise

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Ecommerce, Production, ideally in the fashion/retail industry in both DTC and Wholesale
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Ecommerce, or a related field preferred
  • Excellent time management and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to multitask under competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail with extreme thoroughness and accuracy
  • Proficient in OneDrive/Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word) and Google Applications
  • Must be willing to do occasional hours outside of normal business hours for website flips/promotion updates
  • Experience with Shopify is a plus, but not necessary
