Freelance Data Entry Administrator
THE HOURS FOR THIS ROLE WILL FLUCTUATE WEEK BY WEEK
As a Data Entry Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our client's product data, which is essential for their merchandising and operational success. You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently inputting and updating product information across various databases and systems.
What You'll Do:
- Become a master of product data by accurately and efficiently entering information such as product descriptions, attributes, pricing, sizing, color options, and inventory details into relevant databases and systems.
- Ensure our product information is always up-to-date and consistent across all platforms by diligently maintaining and updating existing data.
- Contribute to insightful reporting by assisting in the preparation of reports, spreadsheets, and presentations related to merchandising data and insights.
- Be a data detective, collaborating with the team to identify and resolve any data discrepancies or inconsistencies.
- Play a key role in successful product launches and seasonal transitions by ensuring all relevant data is accurately entered and updated in a timely manner.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams, including Product Line Management, Merchandising, Product Development, Planning, and Operations, to address data-related inquiries.
- Uphold our commitment to data quality by adhering to established data entry procedures and quality control standards.
- Embrace opportunities for growth by performing other related duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in data entry, preferably within the apparel or retail industry.
- Excellent typing skills with a high level of accuracy and speed.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is essential.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of apparel terminology and product attributes is beneficial.
