About The Role
We are seeking a Vertical Video Editor to join our social media and distribution team. In this role, you will be responsible for editing vertical videos for social media platforms, including breaking news coverage, footage from protests and picket lines, on-camera explainers, and short highlight videos. If you are a skilled editor passionate about social media strategy and economic justice, this role is for you. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where learning and quick turnaround are essential.

- Take ownership of end-to-end video editing while ensuring alignment with our brand and messaging.
- Collaborate with producers and team members to meet editorial goals and deadlines.
- Pull b-roll, images, news headlines, and other media to enhance storytelling.
- Contribute creatively by offering innovative ideas that elevate video impact.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere.
- Familiarity with in-platform editing tools for TikTok and Instagram.
- After Effects experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of national politics and labor issues.
- A passion for economic justice and workers' rights.
- Strong understanding of social media, excellent interpersonal communication, and email etiquette.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Experience in video production for news or media organizations.
- Ability to excel in a remote work environment.
- $65,000 annually.
- 100% remote, telework.
