Are you an experienced Identity Security professional with strong Okta expertise looking for a platform engineering role? A Top-Tier Consulting company is looking for a Senior IAM Engineer with strong customer identity and access management (CIAM) experience to support their team. This is a permanent need within the company - hired as a W2 contract-to-hire reporting on a hybrid basis to any of the following locations: Wilmington, DE; Des Moines, IA; Irving, TX; or Scottsdale, AZ.

The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with Okta and Auth0, with a focus on CIAM. This role is for someone who thrives in an engineering-centric environment, helping to manage and innovate the IAM platform end-to-end alongside a lean, technical team. With a background in API management, scripting, and automation, you'll take the lead beyond basic SSO configurations to own the platform end-to-end - designing custom integrations, managing FISMA-based role structures, supporting identity federation, and overseeing replication and Kerberos in Active Directory environments when needed, all while driving innovation directly with vendors. Exposure to Microsoft Entra ID is highly preferred, especially for candidates who've acted as a lead engineer in that space, as the broader team operates heavily within the Entra ecosystem. This is a strong opportunity for a senior IAM professional looking to make platform-level impact in a growing, forward-thinking team.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years in IAM Security, with strong focus on CIAM
  • Expertise in Okta, Auth0, and Entra ID platforms for IAM
  • Hands-on experience implementing and managing SSO integrations, identity federation, MFA, and role-based access control (RBAC)
  • Strong background in API management, scripting, and automation for seamless customer identity workflows
  • Knowledge of Active Directory (AD), Kerberos, identity replication, and FISMA-based role structures
  • Proven ability to design custom integrations and drive platform innovation with vendors
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, particularly in cross-functional and C-level discussions
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience working with zero-trust architectures (Zscaler, Cisco Secure Access)
  • Familiarity with cloud environments, particularly Azure
  • Ability to lead end-to-end platform management and automation processes
What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown
  • Lead the design, integration, and ongoing optimization of CIAM security solutions
  • Work closely with other senior engineers to manage the platform
  • Implement custom integrations for custom-facing applications, manage federation, and troubleshoot IAM-related issues
Daily Responsibilities
  • 70% Hands-on engineering
  • 30% Collaboration with vendors and internal teams

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
