
Mechanical Piping Engineer - Oil and Gas - W2 Contract
Roles and responsibilities
Piping
Experience in Piping materials in line with applications
Good in valves & fittings based on application & requirements
Provide technical directions and inputs to drafting personnel.
Review of engineering documents like calculations, specifications, philosophies, datasheets and drawings to ensure compliance with specification and functional integrity.
Carry-out single discipline checking of discipline documents / deliverables for the project.
Carry-out IDC for other discipline document / deliverables as per the approved IDC matrix.
Co-ordinate with other discipline / departments.
Attend Project review meetings and project co-ordination meetings.
Participate in technical review meetings (like Design Reviews, piping 3D model review etc.)
Review of Vendor documents.
To ensure Quality Control throughout the discipline, works with the Quality Management System and participate in regular quality audits.
Follow all applicable procedures and work instructions.
Keep continual improvement as a goal and apply Lessons Learnt on the past projects for better performance.
Review of piping specifications and data sheets.
Review of piping vendor drawings and final engineering deliverables
Knowledge in pipe stress analysis
Mechanical
Hands on experience in Static & Rotary equipment design & detail Engineering in Oil & Gas industries application
Good in welding, applications and selection
Experience in static equipment calculations
Good in Technical bid evaluation of Static equipment in Oil & Gas industries application
Work Experience
Desired Skills:
Familiarize with the codes and standards (Mechanical & Piping)
Should be able to analyse pipeline with ASME 31.4
Should be able to evaluate nozzle loads for equipment.
Should be able to drive the project individually without any external guidance.
Knowledge on FEA and PV Elite software are added advantage.
