Considering the full marketing mix with a spotlight on digital and social, the integrated marketing team is responsible for developing and executing detailed marketing plans, derived from Brand Strategy with support from Marketing Operations. As fan and channel experts, Integrated Marketing understands and implements the best ways to connect with fans based on campaign objectives.
Position Summary
The Integrated Marketing Coordinator (South Bay Lakers) will play a key role in building and executing marketing plans that drive fan growth, engagement, brand storytelling and ticket sales for the South Bay Lakers. Working closely with departments including ticketing, game operations, facilities, communications, creative, corporate partnerships and basketball operations, this role will help develop and distribute compelling content, promotional campaigns, and fan engagement strategies. The focus will be around key moments such as regular season games, South Bay Lakers theme nights, G League moments and more across social and digital channels to support business objectives. This role will provide coverage around all SBL games, including capturing real-time game content for home games. In addition, this role will partner closely with the Communications team to drive front office requests and time sensitive releases. This role will require a highly flexible schedule due to the fluid nature of South Bay and the G League.
This position requires a variety of social and content creation skills including video capture and copywriting. The ideal candidate is a creative and strategic thinker with a passion for basketball, as well as social and digital marketing.

- Develop long-term strategy and annual marketing roadmap for South Bay Lakers leveraging owned channels including social, email, app and website to drive brand storytelling, fan engagement and ticket sales
- Executes integrated marketing plans for season games, tentpole moments, G League milestones and cultural moments
- Collaborate daily with the South Bay Lakers communications team to drive front office requests and time sensitive releases, and ensure marketing and editorial efforts align to amplify key storylines and messaging
- Create and manage content calendars to coordinate marketing messages across social and digital platforms
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to optimize marketing programs and improve engagement
- Drive sole ownership and execution of day-to-day and gameday initiatives, including gameday content capture, real-time posting, fan engagement activities and digital activations
- Partner with the ticketing team to promote theme nights, season ticket member engagement, fan events, giveaways and more
- Collaborate with community relations and corporate sponsorship teams to develop promotional content that deepens community engagement and launch partner activations
- Work with the creative team to develop graphics, video content and other digital assets that align with brand guidelines and marketing objectives
- Collaborate with the G League to promote content throughout the season
- Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging platforms and best practices to enhance marketing efforts and integrate new opportunities across SBL properties
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or related field; advanced and continuing education preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in content creation, social media or digital marketing.
- Experience working in sports, entertainment or a fast-paced marketing environment preferred.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and management tools.
- Knowledge of email marketing platforms and analytics tools.
- Basic understanding of graphic design and video editing tools (Adobe Creative Suite preferred).
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong storytelling skills with an ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with fans
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally with various departments
- Passion for basketball and an understanding of the South Bay Lakers’ brand and fanbase
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods during game days and events
- El Segundo (office M-F) with game day responsibilities and occasional off-sites
- Up to 10% of the time for occasional travel required for road games and team events
