Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Architect to lead architectural initiatives and support strategic IT alignment for a major enterprise transformation program. This role focuses on creating, communicating, and improving principles and models that describe the future state of enterprise systems, ensuring compatibility across technologies and facilitating optimal configurations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide enterprise-level architecture services and technical leadership for strategic projects.

  • Develop and refine architecture documentation including standards, policies, procedures, and reference models.

  • Evaluate new technologies for mission-critical applications and ensure alignment with infrastructure and business needs.

  • Participate in technical meetings and facilitate issue resolution across multiple stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the development of RFPs for hardware, software, and service vendors.

  • Research and present architectural artifacts such as design patterns and reference architectures.

  • Provide monthly status reports and documentation as per contractual deliverables.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as an Enterprise or Solutions Architect, including full lifecycle development.

  • Demonstrated experience leading architectural design for large-scale, mission-critical systems.

  • Strong system analysis skills across the full project lifecycle.

  • Experience guiding teams of architects, developers, analysts, and testers.

  • Experience with both public and private sector architecture projects (government experience preferred).

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, virtualization, and multi-datacenter environments (in-house, co-lo, hosted, SaaS, PaaS).

  • Expertise in Microsoft Azure Identity Management and Azure Security Best Practices.

  • Strong communication and consensus-building skills across executive and technical teams.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing access control solutions and cloud hosting strategies.

  • Familiarity with Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, and application lifecycle tools.

  • Azure certification is a plus.

  • Prior experience in state government or judicial environments highly desirable.

  • Previous project management experience is an asset.


Equipment Requirements

  • Must provide own laptop with full-disk encryption, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Project, Visio 2010 or newer).

  • Must provide a mobile phone for project-related communications.
