The IT Support Analyst role will serve as a member of the overall AWT IT organization, focused primarily on supporting production and front office technologies and operations. This role will be a mid-level contributor with growth opportunities across AWT IT. This position will be responsible for level 1-3 support of all technology used across all AWT facilities. Additionally, this role will participate and contribute to IT initiatives across all AWT’s business, as appropriate. This position will be on-site in the Minneapolis facility primarily, with opportunities for remote work at times. While the role will prioritize the focus of supporting daily operations in Minneapolis, the role will also participate in general support and projects for all AWT locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day IT operations support and hands-on activities in Minneapolis.
  • Participate as a member of the AWT IT overall support organization.
  • Assist in projects and efforts driven by AWT leadership.
  • Help define business requirements and implement IT operational best practices.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations to IT leadership within overall AWT IT.
  • Support core IT infrastructure, e.g. PC builds and configurations, network hands-on support, server support operations, general IT service desk functions and end user support, and production/manufacturing systems support.
  • Contribute to defining future strategies for end user computers and production Operational Technology requirements.
  • Take work direction from IT infrastructure leadership and Senior IT peers.
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
  • Assist in general IT troubleshooting as needed.

Who does the IT Support Analyst work with?

The IT Support Analyst role will work with AWT IT peers and leadership, and local business leadership and users within the AWT facilities. This role will take primary work direction from IT Service Manager. Strategic direction and operating standards will be defined for all locations by AWT IT and Business leadership. This role may serve as an understudy to a senior network engineer, cloud/infrastructure engineer, or production systems manager in the future.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 3-5+ years IT support experience
  • Experience working within an IT Service Organization
  • Team focused and self-motivated
  • Proficient in end-user computer technologies
  • Experience with Windows OS, O365, and other common technologies
  • Experience supporting production manufacturing and shipping systems a plus
  • Experience supporting Windows server/Virtual Server/host infrastructure a plus (will not be responsible for server infrastructure engineering)
  • Strong in ideation and problem solving
  • Aptitude to learn, grow and stay current with technology evolution
  • Level 1-2 hands-on experience supporting LAN/WLAN technologies, (not responsible for network design or engineering)
  • Desire to develop future expertise in areas such as: Network, Core infrastructure (Azure AD/AD, Server engineering), ERP systems, etc.

Preferred Skills

  • Microsoft technology certifications, MCA Windows, and O365
  • ITSM and end user support certifications
