Insight Global is seeking a Vice President of Business Development for our client, a small business delivering mission-critical tactical and technical solutions. The VP of Business Development will be responsible for identifying and pursuing executable business for defense industry clients through applying expertise in the business development life cycle from opportunity identification through shaping, capture and proposal, and contract startup and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, manage the CRM system, and develop strategic partnerships.
  • CRM Management: Oversee and update the CRM system, ensuring accurate and timely data entry and maintenance.
  • Networking: Conduct research, make phone calls, and attend trade shows to build and maintain relationships.
  • Strategy: Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue goals.
  • Team Leadership: Build out and lead a small team, proposal manager, to support business development activities.
  • Relationship Maintenance: Keep relationships warm and ensure ongoing engagement with key stakeholders.
  • Proposal Management: Collaborate with the proposal manager to edit and finalize proposals, ensuring alignment with business development goals.

Compensation:

$225,000 to $295,000 per year annual salary + bonus/commission
