This job contributes to Starbucks success by leading the creative direction that supports our earned and owned channels, our internal communications and provides innovative ways to tell our story to the audiences we are trying to reach.
As a Director, Creative, you will…
Proven experience in a creative leadership role, preferably within a storytelling or brand narrative context.

- Develop and Execute Creative Strategies: Lead the development of innovative storytelling approaches that align with Starbucks' brand values and business goals.
- Content Creation: Oversee the production of high-quality content, including articles, videos, social media posts, and other multimedia formats.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of writers, designers, and content creators, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment. Be an inspiring and results-oriented team leader and people developer.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all content maintains a consistent brand voice and visual identity.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, communications/corporate affairs, and other departments to align storytelling efforts with broader company initiatives.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze the performance of content to inform future creative strategies.
- Innovate and Inspire
- Strong background in design, writing, videography, photography, and social media storytelling.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to leverage data and analytics to drive creative decisions.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
