We're looking for a creative and forward-thinking assessment designer to join a growing Assessment Design team. The ideal candidate will have a deep interest in, or expertise with, transferable skills such as creative thinking, communication, and collaboration. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping transform transferable skill assessment through Ai-informed assessment design and research. Creativity and a passion for unlocking human potential are essential.This is a unique opportunity to influence the build of a product that is poised to transform the industry.
This is a remote role based in the United States.
Ideal candidates are based in the East Coast Area.
Occasional travel is anticipated.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design conversation flows and interaction strategies that enable skill measurement using a range of methods.
- Define tone, questioning approaches, emotional intelligence markers, and related chat-based assessment strategies.
- Partner with AI team on AI-powered scoring and predictive validity (e.g., quality of hire, performance, retention).
- Collaborate with AI engineers, data scientists, UX/UI designers, usability researchers and SMEs to translate ideas into high-quality user experiences.
- Support prototyping and iteration efforts based on user feedback, analytics, and outcome data.
- Conduct usability and validity studies to inform assessment designs
- Help explore and implement innovative approaches to assessment and reporting through conversation, performance tasks, and reflective inquiry.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in assessment design preferred
- Experience with adult assessment and learning preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Psychology, I-O Psychology or related field preferred
- Experience with transferable skills (e.g., creative thinking, communication, collaboration, etc.) a plus
- Experience with chat-based assessment tools and artificial intelligence-based platforms a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of psychometrics and principled assessment design practices (e.g., Evidence-Centered Design) a plus, but not required
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into understandable messages
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
